xeris technologies llc ("we", "us") provides the Xeris Ari chat service ("ari"). this policy describes what we collect, why, and how to control or delete it.
what we collect
- account info — your email, display name, and (if you choose) a nickname. we use these to identify you and personalize replies.
- chat content — every message you send to ari and every reply ari sends back. this is stored under your account so you can come back to it.
- usage counters — how many messages you've sent today, used to enforce the free-tier daily limit.
- feedback — any thumbs-up / thumbs-down or written feedback you leave on ari's replies.
- billing data — if you upgrade to Pro, Stripe handles your payment details; we receive a subscription status only.
we do not collect ip-based analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, or device identifiers.
why we collect it
- to provide and improve the chat service
- to enforce free-tier limits and process Pro subscriptions
- to review feedback and fix problems with ari's replies
who we share it with
- google firebase (auth + firestore + cloud functions) hosts your data. firebase processes data on our behalf.
- stripe, inc. processes Pro subscription payments.
- runpod, inc. hosts the inference servers that generate ari's replies. messages are sent to runpod servers in order to generate a response, but are not retained there beyond the request.
we do not sell or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.
your rights
at any time you can:
- export your data — get a JSON copy of everything we have (account → data & privacy → export my data).
- delete your account — permanently wipe every conversation, feedback row, profile field, and the firebase account itself (account → data & privacy → delete my account).
residents of the EU/EEA, UK, and California have additional rights under GDPR / CCPA, including the right to access, correct, restrict, or object to processing. contact privacy@ari.inc to exercise them.
children
ari is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
changes
if this policy changes materially we'll notify you in-app before the new version takes effect.
